Connect Yorkshire's Investor Readiness Programme offers youngtechnology firms a wealth of FREE advice.

Convincing an investor you are ready for the financial help that will take your company to the next level is difficult to achieve, and in order to attract and sustain that support you need to be ready for the challenges it will bring. The Investor Readiness Programme is the only scheme of its kind in the region aimed specifically at helping innovative and ambitious technology businesses get fit for finance. We give you the key to translating your ideas into reality, enabling you to speak the language of investors and secure a deal that will put you on the fast track to growth.

The programme involves three stages and gives entrepreneurs access to a whole host of practical advice, followed by face-to-face contact with potential investors.

Phase 1 - Preparing For Investment
A series of interactive workshops and seminars covering diverse aspects such as formulating a business plan, patent protection and marketing strategy. All have a technological focus and are delivered by seasoned professionals from the sector.

Phase 2 - The Pitch
Firms with strong proposals may be selected to make presentations at our investment forums, business challenges or investment competitions. Prior to the event, Connect Yorkshire and our supportive sponsors will help you hone your pitch to ensure investors get your message. You can also put your proposition on our investment portal www.mydealmaker.co.uk where investors can review your proposition where ever they are, whenever they want.

Phase 3 - The Deal
Our independent support and advice continues to help you as you seek to negotiate a deal. We can also refer you to one of our many sponsors and partners to undertake more in depth mentoring and support through the the legal and completion processes.
