A series of six FREE informal, interactive workshops, giving advice and professional guidance on issues facing any growing business - ranging from maintaining an innovative culture to increasing sales online, to staff retention. With some of Humber's biggest names involved in the programme, including Smith & Nephew, Reckitt Benckiser, Gosschalks, The University of Hull and FeONIC, these workshops are not to be missed!
Finance for GrowthLooking for investment to grow your business, but don't know where to start? If so then this workshop will help. Our accountant speakers will lead you through the sources of finance open to you in the region, plus how an investor will value your business during a deal process.
Speakers: Simon Banks Cooper, Banks Cooper Associates, Roger King, Baker Tilly and Brenda Hopkins, FeONIC Plc Date: Wednesday 3 October 2007 Venue: The Deep (main visitor attraction building), Hull, HU1 4DP Map Time: 6.00pm registration and buffet for a 6:45pm start. Finishing at approximately 9.00pm Our speakers will talk you through the current private and public sector support available on a regional and national level. You will get an understanding of what living in the European classification area 'Objective two' could mean to your business and the grants or funding available. You will also learn about venture capital and business angel funding, and what return an investor will seek, all based on how your company is valued. Finally, hear from the Chairperson of Hull-based Feonic how they formed as a co-operative spin-off from the University of Hull, grew their company and later floated on OFEX! The Format
Our workshops are designed with an interactive element, to encourage discussion and ideas amongst delegates.
Refreshments and buffet will be served on arrival and the workshop itself will be followed by a further refreshment break, allowing plenty of time for networking.

However, if you are registered for and subsequently unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible, in advance. Connect Yorkshire will charge a £25 administration fee per workshop for registered delegates who haven't advised that they can't attend. This is the last of six Interactive Workshops, which made up the Business Fitness Programme.
